HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1965.
CONDITION
A monobloc case is exactly how it sounds – one block on metal machined down. There is no bezel or seperate case back, and the theory is that with fewer joins you are likely to get fewer ingresses of water or dirt. To access the movement for service you remove the crystal and then you will find the Tissot’s 782-1, a seventeen jewel manual wind calibre designed and made in house by Tissot. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, along with the case – we couldn’t get the bracelet off without risking damage. The crystal has a small chip on it but it is quite shallow and we didn’t want to fit a generic, thicker crystal which might look out of place.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
