This men’s, squared case manual wind Nivada is an affordable gold dress watch from the sixties.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the Edinburgh hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1965.
CONDITION
Nivada were founded in 1926 in Grenchen, and while the sports watches like the Chronomaster and Depthmaster can sell for thousands, the dress watches are still quite affordable. This was has the combination of a BWC case and a seventeen jewel ETA manual wind movement, which whilst not exotic should prove to be an easy thing to live with. The crown has some wear, but is easy to use and the original Nivada item. The dial has some patina, especially around the edges, but is original. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
