Although this Omega doesn’t have the word De Ville on the dial, it is referenced as this on Omega’s website here.  Model reference 511.179

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1965.

CONDITION

On Omega’s website this watch came in a 18k gold case, but the fact this is 14k gold indicates it was probably intended for the American market.  The case has fine lines on each flank as a small extra feature, and the case back has never been engraved.  The calibre 484 hand winding movement is working well, and while the dial is original it does have some patina.  This is not unusual in a case that was never designed to be waterproof.  As the word de Ville does not appear on the dial it actually helps the legibility of the watch, as it is a petite design.  The crown is original, and the leather strap is new and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
