HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1965.
CONDITION
The condition of this watch is stunning. Regular customers will know that we rarely use language like this, but we have not seen a 50+ year old watch in better condition. It is difficult to fault the 20 micron gold plated case, and the original dial is as clean as they come. The in house Certina 28-10 movement is running superbly and like all Certina watches of this era it is finished superbly. Access to the movement is via a screw down case back, and the movement wound via the signed crown. The bracelet is a period Fixo-flex expander that came on the watch, which is not to everyone’s taste, but it too is in very good condition. Should you prefer a leather strap this can be swapped free of charge. We do not think you will find a better Certina Waterking available.
