HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1965.

CONDITION

The movement is a Certina in-house calibre, number 25-651, which like all Certina movements of this period is beautifully finished and puts some ‘bigger’ brands to shame.  It is manually wound via the signed crown and has a semi quick set calendar too.  All is working nicely.  The case is is good condition, and has a flat screw down case back – manual movements are generally thinner than automatics, so the stainless steel case back can lie flat on the wrist.  This helps the watch wear larger than the dimensions suggest.  The original dial is fantastic, and the leather strap is new.  Having the original box is always a positive, and we suspect this Waterking has spent quite a lot of its life in that box.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
