This Made in Great Britain Smiths ladies watch has a heart shaped chromed case housing a 5 jeweled manual movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to being made in 1964, as this was the only year that this model, the Y920, was in the Smiths catalogues.
CONDITION
The marcasite case is eyecatching, but sadly it has lost some sparkle over the years since some of the marcastite stones are missing around the bezel, and especially on the bracelet. The jewelled movement is setting, winding and running well and, despite the lost stones, the watch wears well. The shape of the case is unusual for a watch, especially a mechanical watch, so this was nice to find.
