A lovely manual winding Majex men’s watch, complete with box and papers from 1964, with silver dial.

From the supplied original Certificate of Guarantee we can accurately date this watch to being sold on New Year’s Eve, 1964.

The watch is in very good order indeed.  The AS1686 movement is running strongly and is very clean.   The silver spun dial is sharp and clean, even under a 4x loupe.  The hands show just the slightest tarnishing up close.  The waterproof stainless steel case shows just light surface scratches and doesn’t appear to ever have been polished.  The bracelet is made by Netonia, not a brand we have come across before, and has a ladder clasp to enable easy adjustment.  The ladder clasp does have a few marks on the clasp, but they are not terrible and the clasp is secure.  Both box and papers are in very good order too.  The chances are this watch has spent most of its life in this box, tucked safely at the back of a drawer.

This watch will be supplied with the original box, original guarantee and our Certificate of Authenticity.
