This automatic Omega Seamaster De Ville has the all stainless steel case.  Model reference 14905.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1962.

CONDITION

We are not sure why Omega couldn’t decide if this was a Seamaster or a de Ville model, hence they used both names on the dial.  On the 1961 gold capped watch we have currently they just used Seamaster but refer to it on their own website as a Seamaster De Ville.  Answers on a postcard!  All of that is just marketing, but being a 1960’s Omega of course the engineering is superb.  The movement is the 24 jewel Calibre 552, a very good movement with swan neck fine adjustment.  It has been protected from the elements by the front loading case, which usually puts those without the tools and experience from poking around where they don’t belong!  The movement has just been completely serviced.  The photo of the movement was taken prior to this service.  The dial and hands have some light pitting, but are all original.  Also original is the signed crown and signed crystal.  The case is unpolished and has been worn, so it is more of a matte finish.  Lots of people prefer this to polished watches, and we would not polish it up.  The black leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or pattern if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
