A vintage, solid gold ladies Omega watch for under £200? Yes! Complete with a new strap and presentation case.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From both the Birmingham assay office hallmark and the serial number on the Omega 245 movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1961.
CONDITION
The watch is in pretty good shape. The manual wind movement is working well, and the crown seems to be a later replacement. The case is solid 9k gold, made by Denisson for Omega, which was a common way of managing Britain’s punitive import duty on complete gold watches. The dial has even patina, and while it isn’t perfect neither is it bad. The dauphine watch hands and applied hour markers show no tarnish. The watch is fitted with a new leather strap so is ready to wear. We will include a presentation box.
