This ladies solid gold Jaeger-LeCoultre has an interesting lug design, and still retains the original branded box.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the London hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1960.  The serial number is from approximately 1961, so the watch case and movement was probably paired together in 1961.

CONDITION

We haven’t seen this case design before, which is surprising as it works quite well.  The lugs, and therefore the strap, seem to float away from the watch case.  The lugs are also drilled, allowing for easy strap changes, and we have fitted a new leather strap.  If you want a different colour then just ask us to swap it.  Jaeger-LeCoultre have always made quality watches, and this is no different.  The dauphine hands are complimented by applied hour markers on the dial.  The dial does have some patina, but is original.  The hand wound movement is an in-house calibre 490 with KIF shock protection and is running well, quite as you would expect from JLC.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
