A solid stainless steel Garrard watch, presented by Imperial Chemical Industries to R T Forrester in 1961, in great condition.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the ICI engraving on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being presented to the long service employee in 1961.
CONDITION
The watch does not look well over 50 years old by the condition. The dial is very clean, shown off to full effect with the new acrylic crystal we have had fitted. We have also fitted a new leather strap. The hands are blued steel, filled with radium lume. The red second hand is a nice touch too. The 17 jewel hand wound AS 1430 movement is running strongly, and is nice and clean (possibly due to the dust cover still in place). Garrard have been making items for the Royal Family since 1735, so when they put their name on something you know it will be good.
