As nice a condition 1960 watch as you are likely to find, this Junghans men’s vintage watch is a great find.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the supplied sales guarantee we can accurately date this watch to being sold in December 1960.

CONDITION

The German company of Junghans has a long and interesting history, and you can read more about it here.  At one point they were the largest watch factory in the World, but more recently the watch they are most associated with is the Max Bill.

If we could prove this watch was unworn then we would.  What we can say is that this particular watch can not have been worn much.  The box is still in good order, so this has been stored carefully, and inside the box is the cellophane branded wrapper.  The guarantee is hand written, not stamped, but we have no reason to think that it is not correct.  The leather band and buckle are not branded but look period, and we suspect them to be original.  If we are really picky there is a small mark on the bottom left lug tip.  The movement is the Junghans 93S, which is running sweetly.  This watch is in museum quality condition.

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
