Bulova abbreviated Style, Value and Performance into SVP and used this into a few models on the late 1950’s, including this third variant.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the matching production numbers on the case back and on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1959.

CONDITION

The community at MyBulova have a good page here on this SVP model.  This example is working nicely, and everything mechanically feels positive.  The dial does have some patina, and the glass crystal has one or two small chips and scratches, but it is still very wearable.  The case is 10k rolled gold plated, and this thick coating only has wear to the very end of the lug tips which you would need very good eyesight to see with the naked eye.  Behind the stainless steel case back is a Bulova 11AF 17 jewel manual wind movement that also has shock protection on the balance.  The strap is in very good condition and is a vintage item itself, but it is unlikely to be the original.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
