This 1957 Russian Pobeda watch has sub seconds and a cream dial, set in a chromed case.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to being made in the fourth quarter of 1957 from the serial number on the watch movement.
CONDITION
Mechanically strong but with some cosmetic issues, but at a great price for a vintage watch. The dial is very attractive with the centre disc having grooves, only visible under magnification, but they contribute to a really nice effect on the wrist. The gilt applied markers also make this watch stand out. The case, and especially the bezel, have quite bad damage but the case is still structurally sound. This watch looks to have had a replacement crown and is fitted to a new leather strap. The watch will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity too.
SIZE
Approximately 34.2 mm wide including the crown, 10.0 mm thick. Takes a 16 mm strap.
