This men’s 1955 Pobeda (Russian: Победа, Victory) Russian watch has a hand winding mechanical movement, with sub seconds.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to being made in the third quarter of 1955 from the serial number on the watch movement.
CONDITION
USSR watches were built to last! This example is mechanically strong but with some cosmetic issues. The movement is running well, setting and winding faultlessly. The dial is covered in even patina and the chrome bezel has some pitting, but the overall appearance is pleasing. Currently fitted to a XXL leather strap. This could be either a nice addition to a collection, or a great introduction to vintage watches.
