This Tissot, model number 6910-1, have a very clean original dial and the stainless steel case wears well.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the original movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1954.
CONDITION
The hour and minute hand, as well as the hour markers, all have radium lume that has aged to a nice cream colour. We have checked this is radium using our Geiger counter, and this also proves that it is the original finish and has not been repainted at any time in the past 60+ years. The second hand is missing, but the watch can still be enjoyed as a simple two hander. The stainless steel case is very good, and has lovely curved lugs that are also drilled to make strap changes easier – the 18mm lugs also offer a wide choice of straps, and we have fitted the green leather strap although this can be swapped for a different colour if required. The inside of the case back reveals the model number 6910-1 stamped beneath the Tissot logo. The in house 28.5R-21 calibre automatic movement is working nicely, and the acrylic crystal has been polished to remove any light scratches.
