With box and papers that have survived as well as this Everite watch from 1953, this is going to be hard to repeat. Model reference 3047.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the original receipt we can accurately date this watch to being sold in October 1953.
CONDITION
Everite were the ‘in house’ brand for H. Samuel, the UK high street jewellers. At this time they proudly proclaimed to be ‘The Empire’s Largest Jeweller.’ The movement is a Record 107, which is a nicer movement than you might expect in an own brand watch. It has fifteen jewels and is all working well. The acrylic crystal is new, and it shows off a nice clean dial with interesting hands and gilt numbers. The chrome case only has light wear marks and has no dings. The long Bonklip style bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath – this style of bracelet would be familiar to current and returning soldiers, but could be replaced for an open ended leather if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
