This solid gold men’s 1951 Rotary SuperSports watch is in nice condition, with just a bit of patina on the dial.  Manual wind movement.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the Birmingham hallmark on the inside of the case back we can accurately date this watch to being assayed in 1951.

CONDITION

This example has a nicely squared off Dennison case, which makes the watch wear larger than the dimension suggest.  The case is in great shape, with just very minor marks  over all these years.  The dial does have some patina, but this doesn’t ruin the watch for most people – most will rather have an original dial with light patina rather than a repainted dial.  The 15 jewel AS 984 movement is working nicely and still retains its dust free inner case.  We have fitted a new leather open ended strap.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
