This Swiss made Orr watch has a nicely engraved caseback showing when it was made, which helps us enormously!
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the engraving on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being bought in 1950.
This watch would have been designed to be a mans watch, but would equally suit a lady given the size. The most negative point is the dial, which appears to be stained by tobacco smoke and this has drastically reduced the value but that will make a Swiss watch affordable for more people. The movement is keeping good time, and winds and sets without issue. The case shows very few marks for 65+ years too. It is currently fitted with a quality vintage leather strap that has been used, but suits the watch perfectly.
