Or at least it is a Bulova movement.  This watch has some mystery to it that we have not been able to resolve.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1950.

CONDITION

This is an unusual watch.  The dial states Bulova Movement but doesn’t state who made the case.  There is a letter P in a triangle on the case back, which we haven’t been able to identify, but we are not sure why Bulova would be supplying movements to third party to make such a similar watch to the models they already had for sale, and this watch would presumably compete with in the market.  The movement is certainly by Bulova – it is their calibre 10BM, which was in production between 1949 and 1955, and it is ticking along nicely.  The dial does have various different marks on it, but is still presentable enough.  The 10 micron gold plating is good, and difficult to see wear with the naked eye.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
