This 1946 Tissot Antimagnetique is military inspired.  Instead of fixed bars though this has drilled lugs, making strap changes easier.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this watch to have been made in 1946 from the serial number on the watch movement.

CONDITION

While the numerals markers have faded away the main branding across the centre of the dial remains strong.  The subdial has faded a tropical brown.  Tissot were a pioneer in antimagnetic technology and this Tissot 27-3 movement had the added benefit of an early form of anti shock technology too.  The case is good, with just a dink on the bezel at 5, and the movement keeps good time.  We have fitted a new leather strap, which is shown in the HD video below.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

“Just thought I’d send you a email to say that I’m very pleased with the watch and we gave it to my Dad today and he’s very impressed and loves it. I don’t think this will be the last time you here from me.”
