I’ve been watching you site for at least a year waiting for the right ’74 to show up. I’d been looking mainly for an Omega/Longines dress watch but I’m a big fan of vintage Seiko as well. When I saw this watch pop up on your site–with its unusual movement and in absolutely mint condition–I knew this was the one. Sure, EL-370s can be had on eBay for less, but you found a gem that was worth every penny! And after 43-years of being who knows where, barely being worn, and therefore probably never being serviced, I’m happy to see that it’s running strongly and fairly accurate.

So this #Corum #romvlvs designer should get a pay rise! First launched in 1963, in 1976 they stopped enamelling the Roman numerals, which were on the bezel instead of the dial, and hand carved them instead into the 18k gold cases. The slight imperfections that this creates adds enormous charm. This example is from circa 1999, and still has the 18k buckle too. ![]()

This is a good looking #Seamaster #f300hz in its own right, but when it comes with both boxes, both sets of papers and even the individual hang tag with matching model and serial number it is pretty much unrepeatable. If we could buy every watch with a full set like this we would, but we wouldn't have much stock!![]()

There is nothing better than having the original sales brochure for the watch if you want to check everything is as it should be. It also tells us details, such as the crown being 18k gold rather than plated, and that the price was £945 back in 1998. It costs a lot less today.![]()
