This Vulcain was sold alongside the more famous Cricket model, and closely resembles the Centenary model – it even uses the same movement.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The ETA 2452 Movement was made over a few years, but given the close resemblance to the Vulcain Centenary (Vulcain turned 100 in 1958, and we have an advert listed to show the brochure) we believe this model was of the same period.

CONDITION

This watch is quite high specification for the period.  A full stainless steel case, with screw on back, and a quality Vulcain branded ETA automatic movement with date installed.  The thick leather strap is new.  The dial does show some dirt, and at some point a new thin crown has been fitted that doesn’t quite meet the case but works faultlessly.   The date can be semi quick set, winding to and fro between 21:00 and Midnight .  The case, with it’s sharp angles and flat bezel, is in very good order and doesn’t look to have taken any knocks over the years.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
