Chrome case and original bracelet

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to circa 1957 with the help of a respected collector.  His mother was given a gold plated version of the same watch on the day he was born, in 1957.  An unusual method of dating a watch, but undeniable.

CONDITION

​The dial has a bit of dirt on it, otherwise it is very good.  There is one mark on the non crown side of the case.  We have cleaned the bracelet and case in our ultrasonic cleaner and the bracelet has a neat rachet system to make a comfortable fit, but it is on the small side

​SIZE

16.7mm wide including the crown, 9.2mm thick inclusive of the heavily domed acrylic crystal. The bracelet will fit small wrists only, up to 145mm.  A rope type strap could be added if needed.
