This 9kt gold watch, from the jewellers D.A. Scott, features a 15j Swiss lever movement, and has the original box and papers.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We can date this to 1965 from the supplied receipt. However the hallmark can be dated to 1959, so you can choose the date that suits you better as both are valid.
D.A. Scott were an upmarket jeweller who specialised in high end watches such as Rolex and Longines, and this is one watch they commissioned themselves. Featuring a 15j lever Swiss manual wind movement they didn’t skimp on the costs, and the 9kt solid gold case is in good condition. Fully hallmarked hinged case and a stylish clean dial. Very nice to have the original box and papers, this is quite a rare find. Totally original except for the strap, which we have added a new leather one so this watch is ready to be enjoyed.
