1955 Timex V Conic with box and papers

A great example of the Timex V Conic, complete with original cardboard box and papers, and two tone dial.  The watch was very common, but finding a full set is not.

From the supplied paperwork we can accurately date this watch to being sold in November 1955.

The V Conic was Timex’s engineering answer to shockproofing watches.  There is a nice right up on how it works, and the change it made in Timex’s fortunes here.

this example has a nice clean two tone dial with applied hour markers.  The case has lost quite a bit of gold plate, and ideally this would be either polished off or replated, but we have kept it original.  The case doesn’t have any dinks. The strap is a period leather item with a little wear, but a new strap would be included as well.  The original cardboard box is an unusual survivor – these were often thrown away on day one – but it does have the expected signs of wear and tear.  The hand wind movement will be cleaned and oiled before being sent out.

This watch will be supplied with its cardboard presentation box, dated papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
