This 1954 Accurist has an eye catching quartered dial – the video is the best way to see this. Complete in a solid gold case.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the Edinburgh hallmark on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1954.
The watch features a textured quarter dial, and the problem with these is that most of them are filthy dirty – the dirt was usually smoke that stuck to the ridges. However this watch is clean, and as such is a nice survivor. The BWC case is solid 9k gold, and the back does have a dent but has never been inscribed. The 21 jewel manual wind movement is running well, and we have fitted a new crown and stem to make winding easier. The watch case has fixed bars, and is fitted with a new 14 mm open ended strap that is quite short. This can easily be changed.
