Men’s gold plated watch with Zenith Cal 2562 movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Zenith are one of the best watchmakers in Switzerland, but they are difficult to date accurately. Thankfully this one has an inscription on the caseback saying “Presented to Mr TOM GRAHAM by his friends in the Corn Trade Aug 1972”. This fits with the styling and production dates for this movement.
Original but worn. This watch is signed on the dial and movement but has a replacement crown. The 20 micron gold plate is showing wear to both sides and the crown side of the case has some dents, as does the front of the case. The matt add polished dial looks good and the date changes crisply at midnight.
38.0mm wide including the crown, 12.6mm thick. Takes an 18mm strap.
